Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Frame of the Heart collects when you visit, why, and the choices you have. Last updated: November 2, 2026.
Who we are
Our website address is https://frameoftheheart.com. Frame of the Heart is a photography and writing portfolio by Jessica Vincent Maleski. You can reach me at jessica@frameoftheheart.com.
What this site collects
Analytics, only if you accept. The first time you visit, a notice asks whether you agree to analytics cookies. If you click Accept, the site uses Google Analytics to count visits. It records which pages and photographs you open, how long you stay, your approximate location (city level), and your device and browser type. If you click No thanks, Google Analytics does not run.
Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps routine logs of each request, including your IP address, browser and the pages requested. These are used to run and secure the site.
Email. If you write to me, I receive your email address and your message. I use them only to reply.
Comments. This site does not accept comments, and it does not ask you to create an account.
Cookies
Before you choose anything, this site sets no tracking cookies. Your choice on the cookie notice is remembered in your own browser, not on our servers.
If you click Accept, Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) so it can tell one visit from the next. They last up to two years. You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page, or by deleting cookies in your browser.
The site owner uses login cookies to manage the site. They are set only for people who log in, which visitors do not.
Photographs, links and embedded content
This site links to other places, including Instagram and Substack. Once you follow a link, that site’s own privacy policy applies, and it may collect data about you and use its own cookies. Embedded content from other websites behaves as if you had visited that website yourself.
Who we share data with
I do not sell your data. The only others who handle it are:
- Google, if you accept analytics. Google Analytics processes visit data on its servers, which may be in the United States. See Google’s privacy policy.
- My web hosting provider, which stores the site and keeps the server logs described above.
A password reset email, if I ever request one for the site’s own login, includes the IP address of the request.
How long we keep data
Google Analytics keeps visit data for a limited time, at most 14 months. Server logs are kept by the hosting provider for its standard period. I keep emails for as long as needed to answer you and to keep a record of the conversation.
Your choices and rights
You can change your analytics choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
You can ask me what personal data I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. This includes your email correspondence with me. Depending on where you live, such as the European Union, the United Kingdom or California, you may have additional rights, including to object to or restrict how your data is used. Write to me at the address below and I will respond.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
